Magalie Pouillard, alias Madame Dessine, is a painter and illustrator based in Paris.
Her work explores themes of clothing, fashion, and contemporary silhouettes, capturing the subtle details and poetry of everyday life. Working primarily in watercolor and oil paint, she transforms ordinary moments into delicate, timeless scenes.
Since 2024, her practice has expanded to include ceramics, adding a new dimension to her artistic language. Still inspired by garments and the traces they leave in our lives, she shapes pieces that reinterpret her recurring themes, between past and present. Her work also continues to pay homage to the great masters of painting, underlining how their subjects — daily life and dress — still resonate today.
